How to use the HP Media Solutions Locator

 
 

HP Media Solutions Locator - Instructions

The Media Solutions Locator tool assists you in locating media for your printing needs. Once you locate the media, you can view its parameters and find suppliers in your area.

General

Hovering with the cursor over data displays a tooltip with additional information, if exists. For example, if an icon for environmental standards is displayed, hovering with the cursor over it, will display the specific environmental standards in compliance.

Download the results of your search by clicking Download CSV.

To display imperial or metric measurement units click Select Imperial Units/Select Metric Units at the bottom of the table.

Use the paging option at the bottom of the table will allow you to move to the next screen of results.

Sorting

Results can be sorted by the following columns: Media Name, Supplier, Type, Grade, Weight, Rating, Technical Note, and Environmental Standards.

To sort, click on the column title or place your mouse cursor over the column title and click on the drop down arrow.

Adjusting the display

You can customize your results view and remove columns from the display.

To do so, place your mouse cursor over a column title and click on the arrow that appears to display the options. Select the Columns option and clear the checkboxes of the columns not to be displayed.

Expanding Media Data Display

The table displays the main data related to each media item. To view additional information, click the plus sign to the left of the media listing.

Structured Search

There are several structured search fields. You can use a single search field or a combination of fields.

  1. Click the link to open the HP Media Solutions Locator. The HP Media Solutions Locator table appears, showing all the HP certified media.
  2. There are several search options:
    • Select a region to find media available in your region.
    • Select a country to find media available in your country.
    • Select a device model to find media suitable for your HP printing device.
    • Select a segment to find media suitable for the type of printing you do.
    • Select a brand to find specific brand media.
    • Select media type and grade to find specific type media.
    • Select a program to find optimized and certified media.
  3. Click Search to display the search results.
  4. Click Reset Search to display the full list.


Free Text Search

The free text search locates media by checking the media name, supplier name, the comments and technical note, for the presence of the specified text string.

  1. Click the link to open the HP Media Solutions Locator. The HP Media Solutions Locator table appears, showing all the HP certified media.
  2. Type a text string.
  3. Click Search.
  4. Click Reset Search to display the full list.
