Large Format Photo Negative Paper Preset
 HP Large Format Photo Negative technology gives photographers the opportunity to print high-quality digital negatives suitable for exposing monochrome silver-halide papers or for monochrome alternative processes such as platinum/palladium. This solution expands the photographer’s creative possibilities.

  • Make high-quality analog and continuous-tone contact prints from a digital image (or from a scanned film image)
  • Archive digital images in physical form (as a negative)
  • Digitally restore damaged or historical images and print them with the originally intended process
  • When desired, make larger-than-normal negatives by contact

Required equipment

 
  • An HP Designjet Z3200 printer
  • Recommended and tested printing materials for:
      -For silver process: HP Backlit, Premium Clear Film ® and OHP Film Pictorico®.1
      -For platinum process: Premium Clear Film ® and OHP Film Pictorico.®

Download instructions

  1. Download the manual and the paper presets for the HP Designjet Z3200 printer
  2. Calibrate the system as outlined in the manual
  3. Adjust your image parameters as described in the manual
  4. Negatives can be printed on any transparent or translucent 2 printing material able to support the needed quantity of ink
  5. Use digital negative in the darkroom to create copies by contact
