By offering and certifying high-quality complementary digital printing capabilities (e.g. media and workflows) , HP gives users of HP printing technology flexibility to address more market segments and more varied applications.
Comprehensive HP Media Certification Programs enable substrate manufacturers, suppliers and HP customers to evaluate their substrate compatibility with HP printing technology. The substrate certification procedure is conducted in a controlled environment where substrates are evaluated on default-configured HP printing devices. The duration of a full-scale substrate certification procedure is approximately one working day per substrate.
When the media are supplied by independent manufacturers, HP cannot guarantee the continued availability of any of these media nor can HP guarantee that the manufacturer will not make changes to their composition or manufacture which may change the media printing characteristics. Media must be stored in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
