To announce the release of HP Indigo press software version 7.5.4 and I-Fix 1.

HP Indigo press software version 7.5.4 has the following improvements:

Utility Cabinet Water Hoses Fittings Replacement

To announce the release of the new water fitting in the utility cabinet heat exchanger. The current water hose fittings in the utility cabinet heat exchanger tend to fail, causing leaks and water contamination to the imaging oil system. To rectify this, the two existing fittings should be removed and replaced by new Plasson fittings, which are more reliable.

Follow the instructions in the Utility Cabinet Water Hoses Fittings Replacement installation instructions (CA393-02660).

Gripper Shaft Configuration

To announce the release of the new gripper shaft configuration. The purpose of this technical note is to synchronize the entire field into one configuration.

PIP Brake Coupling Spacer

To describe the procedure for adding a spacer between the PIP front locker and the PIP brake coupling.

The present design of the PIP front locker allows unwanted movement of the PIP brake coupling. This movement causes a gap to open between the 2 parts of the coupling, which causes coupling deformation.

The solution is to add a spacer between the PIP front locker and the PIP brake coupling. This spacer prevents movement of the coupling towards the locker.

HP SmartStream Director version 1.2.3

To announce the release of HP SmartStream Director version 1.2.3 as an upgrade, for current Director customers.

The kit will be available in the local warehouses by mid-August 2010.

I-Fix 5 for HP SmartStream Production Pro Print Server 3.5

To announce the release of I-Fix 5 for HP SmartStream Production Pro Print Server version 3.5.

This item is available immediately. The estimated installation time is 15 minutes.

Blanket Replacement Procedure Update

To announce the updated blanket replacement procedure, which uses a plastic blanket core. The updated blanket replacement procedure is based on rolling the blanket around a plastic core, and then installing the blanket in a dedicated bracket above the ITM drum. The plastic core enhances safety, by keeping the operator's hands away from the rotating ITM drum.

The updated instruction video, which demonstrates how to replace the blanket, is in press software version 8.2.1 I-Fix 2. Service note CA392-01370 will be sent to the entire customer installed base. The kit includes the following items:
